Summary
The fourth workshop in HerRise, a hands-on programme for women entrepreneurs aiming to go global, organised by Shibuya City and run by the Startup Lady Association. This session covers financial planning, fundraising and capital strategy, held in person in Shibuya on Wednesday 11 November 2026 (workshop 18:30-20:30, networking 20:30-21:00). It is free with pre-registration.
Led by Kazumasa Ito, CXO of DEV.TOKYO, participants build a simple Profit & Loss statement and cash flow statement in a spreadsheet to learn the fundamentals of financial statements and how cash moves through a business. A laptop and the pre-downloaded workshop template are required.
Optional one-on-one mentoring office hours with the core mentors run from 10:00 to 17:00. Eligible participants include women founders within roughly ten years of founding, women planning to incorporate within a few years, and Shibuya Startup Visa holders. Japanese-English interpretation is provided, though business-level Japanese is recommended.
About the community
A year-long programme for women entrepreneurs aiming to go global, built around six hands-on workshops that take a business idea to a viable business plan. Each session pairs an expert-led exercise with mentoring office hours; drop-in attendance is allowed, but continuous participation and peer community are encouraged.
