Summary
A relaxed evening gathering for digital nomads, expats, and internationally minded locals, held in the Building A lounge of the goodroom residence Shinagawa Takanawa at 3-14-11 Takanawa, Minato-ku, about a 10 minute walk from Shinagawa Station. It runs on Tuesday, August 18, 2026 from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM as part of Tokyo Summer Coliving, a program held at the residence from August 12 to 25. Staying at the residence is not required to attend.
The evening is led by Charles Du, a member of the community and a global tea guide, who runs an immersive tasting built around rare "living teas", sound, and the five senses. The format is open conversation rather than talks or presentations, and communication is mainly in English.
Entry is 500 yen, paid at the venue by PayPay or contactless card. Cash is not accepted. On arrival, attendees scan a QR code at the entrance and complete a short survey. The organizers ask that guests not arrive early, since the venue cannot admit anyone before the start time, and that people update their RSVP if they can no longer come. Photos and video may be taken for the DN Tokyo and goodroom event pages, and anyone who prefers not to appear can say so on arrival. Any changes to the time or venue are posted in the event comments.
About the community
A Tokyo group for people who work remotely, live abroad, or simply want international contacts in the city. It runs frequent low-key gatherings around Tokyo at cafes, lounges, coworking spaces, and coliving residences, ranging from morning coworking sessions to evening socials and themed nights. Conversation is mainly in English, events are free or carry a small flat fee paid at the door, and newcomers are welcome without membership or prior attendance.
