Summary
This workshop offers hands-on experience in enclosure design using the 3D CAD software Autodesk Fusion. Participants will design an enclosure for an infrared distance sensor, learning design techniques optimized for printing on FDM-style 3D printers. Positioned as an intermediate-level session, attendees will learn the fundamentals of enclosure design, CAD assembly techniques (combining parts within the software), and practical tips for designing with 3D printer fabrication in mind. Note that this workshop does not involve actual 3D printing — the focus is entirely on CAD-based design work. The event will be held at TIB FAB on the 2nd floor of Tokyo Innovation Base, with a limited capacity of six participants. Attendees must bring a laptop with the Autodesk Fusion trial version pre-installed, along with a mouse. The workshop is free to attend and is especially suited for those pursuing hardware-focused entrepreneurship.
