Summary
An advanced electronics workshop at TIB FAB on the 2nd floor of Tokyo Innovation Base. Over one day, participants build an ultra-compact portable headphone amplifier that fits inside a mint tin, covering board assembly, drilling and finishing the case, and fitting the circuit into it. The staff who designed the kit explain the techniques used to make the most of the limited space.
The work includes fine part machining and demanding soldering, so it is aimed at people already comfortable with soldering, drilling and filing. It targets aspiring hardware founders and makers who want to sharpen their electronics skills, and the finished amp is yours to keep. Capacity 5, ages 18+, fee 1,600 yen including materials. TIB app membership registration is required to enter.
