Summary
Plug and Play Japan hosts a practical half-day summit at STATION Ai Nagoya focused on Mobility & Physical AI — the shift of AI's main battleground from software to the physical world of autonomous robots and field systems. Rather than a pure showcase, the event is designed to move large Japanese enterprises from awareness to concrete PoC planning, pairing macro investment trends with micro, Japan-specific implementation challenges.
The program opens with a vision talk from Plug and Play Japan's Mobility & Physical AI lead, followed by a fireside chat featuring Bonnie Wang (Heroad Investment Partner, joining online) and Genta Suzuki, head of Fujitsu's Physical AI Research Lab, on global VC trends and Japan's competitive edge. Six world-leading startups then pitch a full implementation stack: Unitree (hardware), Lightwheel (simulation & data), RLWRLD (general VLA model), MotionLib (force/tactile control from Keio's Real Haptics), Forcesteed Robotics (local integration), and Refined Robotics (specialized applications).
The afternoon closes with 1-on-1 matchmaking sessions (15 minutes each, rotating) aimed directly at PoC and field-deployment conversations. The event is tailored to new-business and DX decision-makers who can procure hardware but struggle with environment-specific control, operations, and system integration. Sessions run in both Japanese and English.
